Hello Everyone,

My name is Antionette and I am from New York. I currently work full time and am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. My interest in this field comes from my aunt’s inspiration who is a retired NYPD Detective and continued to grow with watching shows such as: CSI, Bones, and Criminal Minds. With my degree, I hope to find a job that benefits society and help make communities safer due to my desire of helping and protecting others.

Based on my current understanding, the criminal justice court positions I am interested in include court interpreter, assistant public defender and pretrial services officer, but my ultimate goal is that of a special agent. I find the aforementioned choices intrinsically interesting and even though the duties are diverse, they are centered around helping people which is what I love doing. I think that each of these careers would provide me with the experience and give me the skills I need for my future endeavors within the criminal justice system.
